The Battle Ground Academy Wildcats (Franklin, TN) football trounced the visiting Pope John Paul II Knights (Hendersonville, TN), 56-14 in Friday's league contest.

The Wildcats (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Goodpasture Christian (Madison, TN). The Cougars enter the Division II-AA Middle contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Goodpasture Christian crushed Grace Christian Academy (Franklin, TN), 23-7, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Knights encounter the Columbia Central Lions (Columbia, TN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, October 24. Pope John Paul II will attempt to advance on its 3-5 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 28-27 league win over Lincoln County (Fayetteville, TN).
