Spectators at Saturday's league bout between the Pope John Paul II Knights (Hendersonville, TN) and the visiting Columbia Academy Bulldogs (Columbia, TN), saw Pope John Paul II's football team gain a win over Columbia Academy by a final score of 34-21.

With the win, Pope John Paul II advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Knights travel to Franklin Road Academy (Nashville, TN) to encounter the Panthers in a Division II-AA Middle bout on Friday, September 12. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Franklin Road Academy won 40-14 in their recent non-league contest against Cookeville (Cookeville, TN)

Coming up next, the Bulldogs confront the Lincoln County Falcons (Fayetteville, TN) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 11. Columbia Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Falcons enter the contest with a 3-0 record after their 49-0 non-league win over Battle Creek (Spring Hill, TN).
