Linfield Christian Lions (Temecula, CA) followers went home content Friday as they observed their football squad smash the visiting Big Bear Bears (Big Bear City, CA), 38-0 in a league match.

The Lions (3-5) will now prepare for their match against Whittier Christian (La Habra, CA). The Heralds come into the Mesquite match with a 2-6 record. In their last match, Whittier Christian was routed by Western Christian (Upland, CA), 55-20, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Bears confront the Maranatha Minutemen (Pasadena, CA) in a Mesquite match, on Friday, October 24. Big Bear will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Minutemen come into the match with a 5-3 record after their 37-14 league win over Arrowhead Christian (Redlands, CA).
