Iowa High School Football - North Polk sneaks past Carlisle
October 17, 2025: Alleman, IA 50007 The North Polk Comets football squad scored 38 points and limited the visiting Carlisle Wildcats to 36 in the Comets league triumph on Friday.
In their next game, the Comets face the Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA) in a 4A District 5 challenge, on Friday, October 24. North Polk will attempt to improve on its 7-1 season record. The Tigers go into the challenge with a 8-0 record after their 55-6 league win over Des Moines North (Des Moines, IA).
The Wildcats (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Ballard (Huxley, IA). The Bombers come into the 4A District 5 challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Ballard held off Bondurant-Farrar (Bondurant, IA), 30-14, in a league challenge.
