October 17, 2025: Wilson, TX 79381 Spectators at Friday's league match between the Dawson Dragons (Welch, TX) and the host Wilson Mustangs (Wilson, TX), witnessed Dawson's football squad topple Wilson by a count of 37-19.
The Dragons (2-5) will now prepare for their match against Southland (Southland, TX). The Eagles enter the 1A 6 Man 2 Region I District 4 (6 Man) match with a 0-5 record. In their last match, Southland was beaten by Loop (Loop, TX), 82-38, in a league battle.
The Mustangs now own a 0-7 record. They play next when they travel to Klondike for a 1A 6 Man 2 Region I District 4 (6 Man) battle on Friday, October 24. Wilson will confront a Cougars squad coming off a 48-0 league win over Loop (Loop, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 7-0.
