October 24, 2025: Welch, TX 79377 The Dawson Dragons football squad scored 68 points and limited the visiting Southland Eagles to 45 in the Dragons league triumph on Friday.
In their next game, the Dragons face the Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX) in a 1A 6 Man 2 Region I District 4 (6 Man) challenge, on Friday, October 31. Dawson will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 46-0 league win over Loop (Loop, TX).
The Eagles (0-6) will now prepare for their outing against Klondike (Lamesa, TX). The Cougars come into the 1A 6 Man 2 Region I District 4 (6 Man) game with a 9-0 record. In their last game, Klondike ran past Avalon (Avalon, TX), 60-14, in a non-league game.
