In Friday's league match, the visiting East Rutherford Cavaliers football squad scored a decisive 35-0 triumph over the Patton Panthers.

The Cavaliers (7-1) will now prepare for their challenge against East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC). The Cavaliers go into the Western Piedmont 3A/4A challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, East Burke bounced Chase (Forest City, NC), 38-14, in a league test.

With the defeat, Patton drops to 1-7 on the campaign. The Panthers host Hibriten (Lenoir, NC) to meet the Panthers in a Western Piedmont 3A/4A test on Friday, October 24. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 7-1. Hibriten won 45-26 in their recent league test against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC)
