North Carolina High School Football - R-S Central wallops Patton

October 3, 2025: Rutherfordton, NC 28139

The R-S Central Hilltoppers football squad scored 56 points and limited the visiting Patton Panthers to 7 in the Hilltoppers league triumph on Friday.

The Hilltoppers now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Burke for a Western Piedmont 3A/4A test on Friday, October 10. R-S Central will meet a Cavaliers squad coming off a 48-8 league win over West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-4.

The Panthers (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Warriors go into the Western Piedmont 3A/4A challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, West Caldwell was ripped by East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC), 48-8, in a league challenge.
