In Friday's league match, the host Edna Cowboys football squad scored a good 55-33 victory over the London Pirates.

The Cowboys (4-3) will now prepare for their match against Goliad (Goliad, TX). The Tigers enter the 3A-1 Region IV District 15 match with a 6-1 record. In their last match, Goliad thwarted Orange Grove (Orange Grove, TX), 40-17, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Pirates confront the West Oso Bears (Corpus Christi, TX) in a 3A-1 Region IV District 15 battle, on Friday, October 24. London will attempt to advance on its 3-4 season record. The Bears go into the battle with a 5-2 record after their 20-14 league loss to Mathis (Mathis, TX).
