The Sanderson Spartans (Raleigh, NC) football knocked off the visiting Holly Springs Golden Hawks (Holly Springs, NC), 24-14 in Friday's league outing.

The Spartans now sport a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cardinal Gibbons for a Triangle Six 6A/7A outing on Friday, October 24. Sanderson will clash with a Crusaders squad coming off a 40-14 league win over Middle Creek (Apex, NC). The Crusaders record now stands at 7-1.

The Golden Hawks (3-5) will now prepare for their game against Trinity Christian (Fayetteville, NC). The Crusaders enter the non-league game with a 6-1 record. In their last game, Trinity Christian notched a victory over North Raleigh Christian Academy (Raleigh, NC), 14-7, in a league game.
