Iowa High School Football - Iowa Falls-Alden crushed by Independence
October 17, 2025: Iowa Falls, IA 50126 Independence Mustangs (Independence, IA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets (Iowa Falls, IA), 35-0 in a league battle.
With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Charles City (Charles City, IA) to meet the Comets in a 3A District 2 test on Friday, October 24. The Comets come into the test with a record of 3-5. Charles City lost 63-0 in their recent league test against Clear Lake (Clear Lake, IA)
The Cadets (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Benton (Van Horne, IA). The Bobcats go into the 3A District 2 challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Benton was ripped by West Delaware (Manchester, IA), 42-20, in a league challenge.
