In Friday's league game, the Rio Hondo Bobcats (Rio Hondo, TX) football team triumphed over the visiting Lyford Bulldogs (Lyford, TX), by a tally of 59-13.

In their next game, the Bobcats battle the Raymondville Bearkats (Raymondville, TX) in a 3A-1 Region IV District 16 game, on Friday, October 24. Rio Hondo will attempt to better on its 7-0 season record. The Bearkats enter the game with a 7-0 record after their 37-27 league win over San Diego (San Diego, TX).

The Bulldogs now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they host Santa Gertrudis Academy for a 3A-1 Region IV District 16 bout on Thursday, October 23. Lyford will encounter a Lions team coming off a 29-14 league win over Falfurrias (Falfurrias, TX). The Lions record now stands at 2-5.
