Texas High School Football - Rio Hondo trounces Bishop

In Friday's league match, the host Rio Hondo Bobcats football squad scored a decisive 55-20 triumph over the Bishop Badgers.

The Bobcats (5-0) will now prepare for their match against Falfurrias (Falfurrias, TX). The Fightin' Jerseys come into the 3A-1 Region IV District 16 match with a 0-5 record. In their last match, Falfurrias was routed by Lyford (Lyford, TX), 20-6, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Badgers confront the Santa Gertrudis Academy Lions (Kingsville, TX) in a 3A-1 Region IV District 16 match, on Friday, October 10. Bishop will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Lions come into the match with a 1-4 record after their 28-7 league loss to San Diego (San Diego, TX).
