London Pirates (Corpus Christi, TX) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team tip the host Bishop Badgers (Bishop, TX), 28-21 in a non-league battle.

With the triumph, London upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Pirates host Refugio (Refugio, TX) to meet the Bobcats in a non-league test on Thursday, September 4. The Bobcats go into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Refugio won 48-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Cotulla (Cotulla, TX)

The Badgers (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Pace (Brownsville, TX). The Vikings go into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Pace nipped Hidalgo Early College (Hidalgo, TX), 21-14, in a non-league challenge.
