Texas High School Football - Winn holds off Martin
October 17, 2025: Eagle Pass, TX 78852 The Winn Mavericks football squad scored 27 points and limited the visiting Martin Tigers to 26 in the Mavericks league triumph on Friday.
The Mavericks now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southwest for a 5A-1 Region IV District 14 test on Friday, October 24. Winn will clash with a Dragons squad coming off a 17-7 league loss to Southwest Legacy (Von Ormy, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 6-1.
With the defeat, Martin drops to 2-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host Jay (San Antonio, TX) to clash with the Mustangs in a 5A-1 Region IV District 14 test on Thursday, October 23. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 6-1. Jay won 38-7 in their recent league test against Nixon (Laredo, TX)
