In Friday's league match, the visiting McCallum Knights football squad scored a close 36-34 triumph over the Pflugerville Connally Cougars.

The Knights (4-3) will now prepare for their match against Liberty Hill (Liberty Hill, TX). The Panthers come into the 5A-2 Region III District 11 match with a 5-2 record. In their last match, Liberty Hill nipped Pflugerville (Pflugerville, TX), 70-23, in a league battle.

The Cougars now have a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Navarro for a 5A-2 Region III District 11 challenge on Thursday, October 23. Pflugerville Connally will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 71-0 league loss to Bastrop (Bastrop, TX). The Vikings record now stands at 1-6.
