The Bastrop Bears walloped the host Pflugerville Connally Cougars football team by a score of 62-18 in Thursday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Bears face the Navarro Vikings (Austin, TX) in a 5A-2 Region III District 11 test, on Friday, October 17. Bastrop will attempt to move on its 6-0 season record. The Vikings come into the test with a 1-5 record after their 27-14 league loss to Crockett (Austin, TX).

With the defeat, Pflugerville Connally drops to 3-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host McCallum (Austin, TX) to meet the Knights in a 5A-2 Region III District 11 test on Friday, October 17. The Knights come into the test with a record of 3-3. McCallum lost 56-21 in their recent league challenge against Pflugerville (Pflugerville, TX)
