The Steele Canyon Cougars football team (Spring Valley, CA), was tipped 28-21 in Friday's league bout with the host Mount Miguel Matadors (Spring Valley, CA)

With the win, Mount Miguel advances its record to 6-3 on the season. The Matadors travel to El Capitan (Lakeside, CA) to encounter the Vaqueros in a Grossmont - Hills bout on Friday, October 31. The Vaqueros enter the match with a record of 4-4.

Coming up next, the Cougars confront the Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) in a Grossmont - Hills match, on Friday, October 24. Steele Canyon will attempt to upgrade on its 7-1 season record.
