California High School Football - Helix thwarted by Mount Miguel

Mount Miguel Matadors (Spring Valley, CA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA), 42-14 in a league battle.

With the win, Mount Miguel improves its record to 5-2 on the season. The Matadors travel to Granite Hills (El Cajon, CA) to meet the Eagles in a Grossmont - Hills match on Friday, October 10. The Eagles come into the match with a record of 3-3. Granite Hills lost 40-30 in their recent non-league match against Cathedral Catholic (San Diego, CA)

Coming up next, the Highlanders meet the El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA) in a Grossmont - Hills match, on Friday, October 10. Helix will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Vaqueros come into the match with a 4-3 record after their 35-14 league loss to Steele Canyon (Spring Valley, CA).
