Needles Mustangs (Needles, CA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host White Pine Bobcats (Ely, NV), 40-0 in a league battle.

With the triumph, Needles upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs host GV Christian (Henderson, NV) to meet the Guardians in a 2A Southern match on Thursday, October 23. The Guardians come into the match with a record of 2-4. GV Christian won 12-7 in their recent league match against Lake Mead Christian Academy (Henderson, NV)

Coming up next, the Bobcats meet the Lincoln County Lynx (Panaca, NV) in a 2A Southern challenge, on Friday, October 24. White Pine will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Lynx go into the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 51-28 league win over Lake Mead Christian Academy (Henderson, NV).
