The Strom Thurmond Rebels (Johnston, SC) football trounced the visiting Pelion Panthers (Pelion, SC), 61-0 in Friday's league outing.

The Rebels now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Saluda for a AA Region 2 outing on Friday, October 24. Strom Thurmond will battle a Tigers team coming off a 28-27 league loss to Ninety Six (Ninety Six, SC). The Tigers record now stands at 5-3.

The Panthers (4-4) will now prepare for their game against Batesburg-Leesville (Batesburg, SC). The Panthers enter the AA Region 2 game with a 5-3 record. In their last game, Batesburg-Leesville overwhelmed American Leadership Academy (Lexington, SC), 63-0, in a league game.
