In Friday's league game, the Smithson Valley Rangers (Spring Branch, TX) football squad trounced the host Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX), by a margin of 56-10.

The Rangers now sport a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host New Braunfels for a 5A-1 Region IV District 13 outing on Friday, October 24. Smithson Valley will clash with a Unicorns squad coming off a 28-24 league loss to Pieper (San Antonio, TX). The Unicorns record now stands at 6-1.

With the defeat, Seguin drops to 3-4 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to Wagner (San Antonio, TX) to battle the Thunderbirds in a 5A-1 Region IV District 13 game on Friday, October 24.
