West Virginia High School Football - University nudges Spring Mills

October 17, 2025: Morgantown, WV 26508

In Friday's league match, the host University Hawks football squad scored a close 35-28 triumph over the Spring Mills Cardinals.

The Hawks (6-2) will now prepare for their match against Preston (Kingwood, WV). The Knights come into the non-league match with a 1-6 record. In their last match, Preston was nudged by Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV), 49-7, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Cardinals confront the Martinsburg Bulldogs (Martinsburg, WV) in a Eastern Panhandle match, on Friday, October 24. Spring Mills will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 6-2 record after their 69-0 league win over Washington (Charles Town, WV).
