The Rancho Cotate Cougars (Rohnert Park, CA) football knocked off the visiting Cardinal Newman Cardinals (Santa Rosa, CA), 30-7 in Friday's league outing.

The Cougars now sport a 7-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marin Catholic for a outing on Friday, October 24. Rancho Cotate will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 28-14 league loss to Vintage (Napa, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-4.

With the defeat, Cardinal Newman drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to San Marin (Novato, CA) to battle the Mustangs in a game on Friday, October 24. The Mustangs enter the game with a record of 3-5. San Marin lost 34-21 in their recent league game against Windsor (Windsor, CA)
