In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Penfield Patriots volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Fairport Red Raiders.

The Patriots (11-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Cicero-North Syracuse (Cicero, NY). The Northstars enter the non-league challenge with a 3-10 record. In their last challenge, Cicero-North Syracuse got by Nottingham (Syracuse, NY), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Red Raiders meet the Spencerport Rangers (Spencerport, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 19. Fairport will attempt to upgrade on its 12-2 season record. The Rangers enter the challenge with a 13-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Gates Chili (Rochester, NY).
