Mary G. Montgomery Vikings (Semmes, AL) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Baker Hornets (Mobile, AL), 34-31 in a league battle.

With the win, Mary G. Montgomery advances its record to 8-1 on the season. The Vikings travel to Davidson (Mobile, AL) to play the Warriors in a 7A Region 1 battle on Friday, October 25. The Warriors go into the battle with a record of 2-6. Davidson lost 34-18 in their recent league battle against Foley (Foley, AL)

The Hornets now own a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Fairhope for a 7A Region 1 battle on Friday, October 25. Baker will play a Pirates team coming off a 35-22 league loss to Daphne (Daphne, AL). The Pirates record now stands at 5-4.
