The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Mary G. Montgomery Vikings (Semmes, AL) and the visiting Daphne Trojans (Daphne, AL), witnessed Mary G. Montgomery's football squad knock off Daphne by a tally of 21-8.

The Vikings (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Robertsdale (Robertsdale, AL). The Golden Bears enter the 7A Region 1 contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Robertsdale was toppled by Foley (Foley, AL), 31-21, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Trojans battle the Foley Lions (Foley, AL) in a 7A Region 1 contest, on Friday, September 13. Daphne will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Lions enter the contest with a 3-0 record after their 31-21 league win over Robertsdale (Robertsdale, AL).
