Illinois High School Volleyball - Shepard over Proviso West
October 18, 2025: Hillside, IL 60162 Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL) and the host Proviso West Panthers (Hillside, IL), saw Shepard's volleyball squad notch a victory over Proviso West by a score of 2-0.
With the win, Shepard improves its record to 23-9 on the season. The Astros travel to Blue Island Eisenhower (Blue Island, IL) to meet the Cardinals in a South Suburban contest on Tuesday, October 21. The Cardinals enter the contest with a record of 5-21. Blue Island Eisenhower lost 2-0 in their recent league battle against Richards (Oak Lawn, IL)
The Panthers now own a 4-19 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oak Park-River Forest for a West Suburban- Silver battle on Monday, October 20. Proviso West will encounter a Huskies squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL). The Huskies record now stands at 19-7.
