In Thursday's league game, the Cheraw Braves (Cheraw, SC) football team were victorious over the host Buford Yellowjackets (Lancaster, SC), by a score of 25-7.

The Braves (4-5) will now prepare for their game against Chesterfield (Chesterfield, SC). The Golden Rams come into the AA Region 5 game with a 2-7 record. In their last game, Chesterfield was knocked off by Central (Pageland, SC), 55-18, in a league game.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Andrew Jackson for a AA Region 5 game on Friday, October 27. Buford will meet a Volunteers team coming off a 42-14 league win over North Central (Kershaw, SC). The Volunteers record now stands at 6-3.
