Connecticut High School Football - Staples thwarted by New Canaan
October 19, 2024: New Canaan, CT 06840 New Canaan Rams (New Canaan, CT) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT), 23-10 in a league battle.
With the win, New Canaan improves its record to 4-1 on the season. The Rams travel to Wilton (Wilton, CT) to play the Warriors in a Fairfield County - East battle on Friday, October 25. The Warriors go into the battle with a record of 3-2. Wilton won 20-17 in their recent non-league battle against Greenwich (Greenwich, CT)
The Wreckers now have a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Stamford for a Fairfield County - West battle on Saturday, October 26. Staples will play a Black Knights team coming off a 26-0 non-league loss to Ludlowe (Fairfield, CT). The Black Knights record now stands at 0-5.
