In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Ripley Vikings volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Nitro Wildcats.

The Vikings (15-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Hoover (Clendenin, WV). The Huskies enter the non-league challenge with a 35-6 record. In their last challenge, Hoover got by St. Albans (St. Albans, WV), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Sherman Tide (Seth, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 22. Nitro will attempt to upgrade on its 11-20 season record. The Tide enter the challenge with a 15-10 record after their 3-1 non-league win over St. Joseph Central (Huntington, WV).
