In Wednesday's non-league outing, the host Southwestern Piasa Birds soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Metro-East Lutheran Knights.

The Piasa Birds (5-7) will now prepare for their outing against Vandalia (Vandalia, IL). The Vandals go into the South Central outing with a 2-12 record. In their last outing, Vandalia was edged by Carlinville (Carlinville, IL), 10-0, in a league outing.
