The Pittsburg Pirates football squad scored 40 points and limited the host Los Gatos Wildcats to 6 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Pirates now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Heritage for a challenge on Thursday, October 9. Pittsburg will face a Patriots team coming off a 48-0 non-league loss to Livermore (Livermore, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 1-3.

The Wildcats (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Vanden (Fairfield, CA). The Vikings enter the non-league challenge with a 6-1 record. In their last challenge, Vanden bounced Monterey Trail (Elk Grove, CA), 32-28, in a non-league game.
