Washington High School Soccer - Chiawana nudges Southridge
October 2, 2025: Kennewick, WA 99338 Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Chiawana Riverhawks (Pasco, WA) and the host Southridge Suns (Kennewick, WA), saw Chiawana's soccer squad hold off Southridge by a count of 1-0.
The Riverhawks (8-2) will now prepare for their battle against Sageview (Pasco, WA). The Lobos come into the 3A/4A Mid-Columbia match with a 0-9 record. In their last match, Sageview was tipped by Hermiston (Hermiston, WA), 1-0, in a league match.
The Suns now sport a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kamiakin for a 3A/4A Mid-Columbia match on Tuesday, October 7. Southridge will meet a Braves team coming off a 1-0 league win over Hanford (Richland, WA). The Braves record now stands at 8-2.
