October 2, 2025: Springfield, PA 19064 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Cardinal O'Hara Lions (Springfield, PA) and the host Springfield Cougars (Springfield, PA), saw Cardinal O'Hara's soccer squad hold off Springfield by a score of 2-1.
The Lions (3-8) will now prepare for their battle against Archbishop Carroll (Radnor, PA). The Patriots enter the Philadelphia Catholic battle with a 0-13 record. In their last battle, Archbishop Carroll was edged by Lansdale Catholic (Lansdale, PA), 4-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Cougars confront the Penncrest Lions (Media, PA) in a Central test, on Tuesday, October 7. Springfield will attempt to move on its 4-11 season record. The Lions come into the test with a 5-8 record after their 2-1 league win over Garnet Valley (Glen Mills, PA).
