Gretna Dragons (Gretna, NE) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Pius X Thunderbolts (Lincoln, NE), 8-4 in a league game.

With the triumph, Gretna upgrades its record to 23-6 on the year. The Dragons travel to Elkhorn North (Elkhorn, NE) to play the Wolves in a B District 3 game on Monday, October 6. The Wolves enter the game with a record of 14-9. Elkhorn North lost 9-4 in their recent non-league game against Elkhorn South (Omaha, NE)

The Thunderbolts now own a 12-15 record. They play next when they host Millard North for a A District match on Saturday, October 4. Pius X will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 7-6 league win over Lincoln Southwest (Lincoln, NE). The Mustangs record now stands at 28-4.
