The Willmar Cardinals (Willmar, MN) volleyball held off the visiting Alexandria Cardinals (Alexandria, MN), 3-2 in Thursday's league bout.

The Cardinals now possess a 11-5 record. They play next when they travel to Fergus Falls for a Central Lakes bout on Tuesday, October 7. Willmar will clash with a Otters team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta (Morris, MN). The Otters record now stands at 11-8.
