Central Rockets (Burlington, IL) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting Jacobs Golden Eagles (Algonquin, IL), 2-1 in a league test.

With the win, Central improves its record to 14-9 on the season. The Rockets travel to Prairie Ridge (Crystal Lake, IL) to face the Wolves in a Fox Valley challenge on Tuesday, October 7. The Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 16-2. Prairie Ridge won 2-0 in their recent league challenge against Hampshire (Hampshire, IL)

Next, the Golden Eagles meet the St. Charles East Fighting Saints (St. Charles, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 4. Jacobs will attempt to upgrade on its 10-14 season record.
