The Mathews Mustangs (Vienna, OH) volleyball knocked off the host Pymatuning Valley Lakers (Andover, OH), 3-1 in Thursday's league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 8-12 record. They play next when they travel to Harding for a Northeastern bout on Monday, October 6. Mathews will clash with a Skippers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Cardinal (Middlefield, OH). The Skippers record now stands at 8-12.

With the loss, Pymatuning Valley drops to 8-12 on the year. The Lakers host Grand Valley (Orwell, OH) to battle the Mustangs in a Northeastern contest on Monday, October 6.
