Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Southern Lehigh Spartans (Center Valley, PA) and the host Pen Argyl Green Knights (Pen Argyl, PA), observed Southern Lehigh's volleyball team top Pen Argyl by a count of 3-0.

The Spartans (13-0) will now prepare for their contest against Bald Eagle Area (Wingate, PA). The Eagles enter the non-league battle with a 16-2 record. In their last battle, Bald Eagle Area achieved victory over Forest Hills (Sidman, PA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Green Knights now own a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Notre Dame-Green Pond for a Colonial battle on Saturday, October 4. Pen Argyl will meet a Crusaders team coming off a 3-0 league win over Catasauqua (Catasauqua, PA). The Crusaders record now stands at 10-6.
