North Carolina High School Soccer - Wheatmore knocks off Southwestern Randolph
October 20, 2021: Asheboro, NC 27205 Wheatmore Warriors (Trinity, NC) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the host Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC), 4-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Warriors face the Uwharrie Charter Eagles (Asheboro, NC) in a Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A challenge, on Monday, October 25. Wheatmore will attempt to better on its 7-8 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 9-2 record after their 5-1 league win over Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC).
The Cougars now have a 4-12 record. They take the field next when they host Jordan-Matthews for a non-league challenge on Monday, October 25. Southwestern Randolph will face a Jets team coming off a 9-0 league win over Seaforth (Pittsboro, NC). The Jets record now stands at 16-0.
