The Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC) football defeated the host McDowell Titans (Marion, NC), 64-38 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Warriors face the North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC) in a Mountain Athletic 3A/4A bout, on Friday, October 27. Erwin will attempt to advance on its 3-6 season record. The Black Hawks enter the bout with a 3-6 record after their 59-12 league loss to Asheville (Asheville, NC).

The Titans (2-7) will now prepare for their bout against A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC). The Rockets enter the Mountain Athletic 3A/4A bout with a 6-3 record. In their last bout, A.C. Reynolds defeated T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC), 28-7, in a league bout.
