The Brookings Bobcats volleyball team (Brookings, SD), was nudged 3-2 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD)

The Kernels (16-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Riggs (Pierre, SD). The Governors enter the AA District 3 challenge with a 10-11 record. In their last challenge, Riggs was nudged by Brandon Valley (Brandon, SD), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bobcats meet the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles (Aberdeen, SD) in a AA District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, October 25. Brookings will attempt to move on its 2-17 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a 11-8 record after their 3-2 league loss to Huron (Huron, SD).
