October 21, 2022: Pearisburg, VA 24134 Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting James River Knights (Buchanan, VA), 42-14 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Giles improves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Auburn (Riner, VA) to confront the Eagles in a Mountain Empire test on Friday, October 28. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 0-6. Auburn lost 69-3 in their recent league test against Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA)
With the loss, James River drops to 3-5 on the campaign. The Knights host Carroll County (Hillsville, VA) to confront the Cavaliers in a Three Rivers test on Friday, October 28. The Cavaliers come into the test with a record of 1-7. Carroll County lost 29-6 in their recent league test against Alleghany (Covington, VA)
