Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ) followers went home pleased Tuesday as they saw their flag football team triumph over the visiting Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ), 48-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Desert Vista advances its record to 6-2 on the season. The Thunder travel to Tucson High Magnet School (Tucson, AZ) to play the Badgers in a 6A Central battle on Thursday, October 23. The Badgers go into the battle with a record of 5-4. Tucson High Magnet School lost 23-20 in their recent league battle against Xavier College Prep (Phoenix, AZ)

The Pride now own a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Desert Mountain for a 5A San Tan match on Thursday, October 23. Mountain Pointe will confront a Wolves squad coming off a 44-0 non-league win over North Canyon (Phoenix, AZ). The Wolves record now stands at 5-4.
