In Tuesday's non-league match, the Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds (Mosca, CO) volleyball squad tipped the host Cotopaxi Pirates (Cotopaxi, CO), by a count of 3-2.

Next up, the Thunderbirds battle the Sierra Grande Panthers (Blanca, CO) in a 1A Southern Peaks match, on Tuesday, October 28. Sangre de Cristo will attempt to move on its 7-14 season record.

The Pirates (9-9) will now prepare for their match against Mountain Valley (Saguache, CO). The Wolves enter the non-league bout with a 2-15 record. In their last bout, Mountain Valley was nudged by Creede (Creede, CO), 3-1, in a non-league bout.
