October 23, 2023: Morganza, MD 20660 In Monday's non-league game, the Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD) football team knocked off the host Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD), by a final score of 38-18.
The Hornets (2-4) will now prepare for their game against Lackey (Indian Head, MD). The Chargers come into the non-league game with a 2-5 record. In their last game, Lackey toppled La Plata (La Plata, MD), 20-8, in a non-league game.
The Braves now hold a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Leonardtown for a non-league game on Monday, October 30. Chopticon will battle a Raiders team coming off a 44-24 non-league win over Patuxent (Lusby, MD). The Raiders record now stands at 2-4.
