Massachusetts High School Volleyball - Notre Dame Academy tips Malden Catholic
October 23, 2024: Hingham, MA 02043 The Notre Dame Academy Cougars volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Malden Catholic Lancers to 2 in the Cougars league triumph on Wednesday.
The Cougars now possess a 12-7 record. They play next when they host Plymouth North for a non-league outing on Friday, October 25. Notre Dame Academy will clash with a Eagles team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Hanover (Hanover, MA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-15.
With the loss, Malden Catholic drops to 2-7 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Bishop Fenwick (Peabody, MA) to clash with the Crusaders in a non-league outing on Thursday, October 24. Match Summary
In this last conference match against a tough Malden Catholic team, the Cougars dropped the first two sets but had the never say quit mentality. Senior Captains Ava Orlando and Caroline Hartnett could not have given any more than they possibly gave and left it all out on the court for sure. Ava posted 31 digs, 27 serve receives and 2 aces while her offensive partner in crime posted 17 kills, 6 blocks and 1 ace. Great Job ladies!!
