Hankinson Pirates (Hankinson, ND) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Richland Colts (Colfax, ND), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Pirates (16-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Oakes (Oakes, ND). The Tornadoes come into the non-league challenge with a 5-10 record. In their last challenge, Oakes was nudged by Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock (Linton, ND), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Colts now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Enderlin for a B - Region 1 test on Thursday, October 30. Richland will face a Eagles squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over LaMoure/Litchville-Marion (LaMoure, ND). The Eagles record now stands at 9-11.
