Virginia High School Football - Halifax County crushed by George Washington
October 24, 2024: South Boston, VA 24592 George Washington Eagles (Danville, VA) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA), 50-6 in a league battle.
With the win, George Washington advances its record to 4-3 on the season. The Eagles host Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA) to play the Phoenix in a battle on Thursday, October 31. The Phoenix go into the battle with a record of 0-0.
The Comets now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bassett for a non-league battle on Monday, October 28. Halifax County will play a Bengals team coming off a 33-21 non-league win over Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA). The Bengals record now stands at 4-3.
